General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Duration - 3 Years

Passing:- A student must secure 50% marks in Internal Assessment, separately in each theory & practical.

  • The Record of Practical experience must be completed.
  • A student must have minimum of 80% attendance irrespective of the kind of absence in theory & practical in each subject for appearing for examination.
  • Grading For Examination

    • Distinction – 80% and above
    • First Division – 70% to 79%
    • Second Division – 60% to 69%
    • Pass Division – 50% to 59%

    Practical (Min)

    • 50 % marks required for passing.

    Theory

    • 50% marks (Min)
  • Hours available per academic year (1st & 2nd) 1840 (46 Wks X 40hrs) X 2=3680 hrs.
  • Hours available for 3rd year (Part-I) 960 (24 Wks X 40 hrs)
  • Internship (Part-II) 1248 (26 Wks X 48 hours)

Final Year Part- II (Internal Examination) (School Examination)

Project Work - N.A (Not Required) (Research)

Examination Guidelines/ Rules:-

  • Shall have one regular examination followed by supplementary examination in a year.
  • Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical paper separately.
  • Minimum pass marks for English shall be 40%.
  • A student shall have to pass in theory and practical exam separately in each of the year to be promoted to next year.
  • If a student fails in either theory or practical papers, he/she shall reappear for the papers (Theory & Practical).

B.Sc- Nursing

Duration - 3 Years

  • A student must secure 50% marks in internal assessment separately in each Theory & Practical.
  • Minimum passing marks for English shall be 40%.

  • A student must have minimum of 80% attendance irrespective of the kind of absence in theory & practical in each subject for appearing for examination.

  • A student has to pass in theory and Practical exam separately in each of the paper.

Internal Assessment -50% required

Project Work
A candidate must submit Research project in internship/ 4th year.

Post Basic B.Sc- Nursing

Duration - 3 Years

Weeks Required - 52 Weeks

Passing Percentage - Same as B.Sc Nursing

Examination:-

  • A student has to secure minimum of 33% in qualifying subject for passing.
  • 100% Practical hours.
  • 50% minimum marks in each Theory and Practical paper separately is required for passing.
  • 80% attendance in Theory is essential.

Research Project

Must submit before examination (Final Examination)
